The A levels at President is completely different from what I had expected. The tactics and approaches for the examinations were really useful in ensuring that we were able to score. The experience of our lecturers and tutors was important in troubleshooting our common mistakes in the exams and to give the examiners what they wanted. The learning at President is very focused.

I love the lifestyle at President, it suits my personality. It has a nice balance between really challenging learning and fun activities otherwise it will get too boring. The activities are also educationally related but in a cool way, there is no lawatan sambil belajar type things here. The people here are cool, I thought I was kiasu until I met this bunch here. The nice thing is that we are all one big happy family, even with lecturers [except the one I don’t quite like..hmmmm who might that be  - he’s too tough with the diagnostics. OOpps did I let the ‘cat’ out of the bag! Ha Ha]

I’ve really changed since ive joined President. I was a guy who never wanted to participate in any events or care much about anything that didn’t concern me and whoa, now im like the one who makes initiative and we have really achieved some amazing thins this year. More importantly we developed ourselves as well as the events and its true what we were told; that you will never learn anything properly until you try doing it for real. That’s what I think about President, they are for real!

At first I was a tad uncomfortable with the do big things with small groups concept, since I had mastered that art of anonymity in a crowd. The lecturers and the administration know everything about us, they know our strengths and weaknesses and exactly how much effort we put in during our downtime so there is no escape. The sessions also force us to speak out and help each other with the research that we have done. We are now always preparing for class before hand and due to the approach the class bonds so well now. Learning is fun! [no I never said it!!!]

President is conducive to what I want in an education. They give the students full opportunity to do whatever is necessary to facilitate getting the best from us. We asked for different tutors for a different approach and it was given in a week, we asked for whiteboards in the lounge for peer teaching and it was doe, we asked for CD Roms of the foreign A Levels notes and it was provided. The nice thing is that there were many things which they did even when we did not ask, for example extra classes [there was a week with almost 30 hours], podcasts for us to listen to on MP3 players and the dreaded diagnostics after every class!!!
