Biology Lecturer After graduating in Biotechnology from University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Ms Jamie turned to the Education field and has now become the lead lecturer for Biology at President College. Aided by Dr Lau Kent Ter (MBBS), she is also the author of the course notes for the Foundation in Science module BI9054. She aims to create "enthusiasm of students in Biology knowledge by integrating subject matter to students' lives, explaining how they are an integral part of the entire ecosystem." |

David Yap Yann Wei
Bachelor of Science in Biohealth Sciences (Universiti Malaya, Malaysia)
Biology Lecturer Mr David became passionate about all Biology matters just before reaching University level. To him Biology is a science of life itself and he is now attached to sharing that passion of knowledge beyond the classroom to all students at President College. He says he wishes to "integrate creativity into science, and to teach biology beyond a textbook". He is also the author of a very extensive book of over 700 references that all students of President College receive and are highly encouraged to read, as it reaches further into topics such as Biochemistry and Anatomy, topics which students will encounter at first year Medicine. |

Biology Lecturer Ms Fong is the latest addition to a strong and knowledgeable team of Biology lecturers at President College. With a great focus on the teaching methods and being a very accessible lecturer, she "is determined to provide the best education to the next generation". It makes her a very valuable member of a team whose main goal is to educate future students in all medical related fields. |

Chemistry Lecturer Ms Kho is the lead lecturer for Chemistry at President College. With a high focus on academic quality, Ms Kho also is the author of the course notes of the module CH9052 at President College. She realizes the importance of Chemistry in all things, in particular when dealing with Medical related studies and advises students: "Chemical reactions happen anytime anywhere anyway. Please do not take it as a 'monster', just enjoy the life with chemistry." Her strict academic care and knowledge also led her to be the Academic Coordinator who ensures quality of teaching and teaching materials for all subjects tought at President College. |

Kong Yi Vonn

Chemistry Lecturer Ms Yvonne always had a heart for Chemistry. She feels that chemistry is "the central science that overlaps with both biology and physics; unravelling the chemical reactions of all the things in the world and the changes that occur". She will happily share her passion and knowledge with all students of President College. |

Alvin Yeoh Chee Siang

Mathematics Lecturer With a fascination for Mathematical precision and logic, and an open heart to statistics and applied mathematics, Mr Alvin is the lead lecturer for Mathematics at President College. His strength is the will and quality to be able to share and transfer his interest to all levels of students, even the ones who are not yet passionate about Mathematics. His feeling about how he teaches? "Mathematics is a creation of logic. Taking the challenge to open and educate the minds of future in the world of logic is very meaningful to me." He is also the author of the course notes for the module MT9058 at President College, notes which are highly focused on the understanding of mathematical matters and use a large load of practice as a path to that understanding. His course notes include over a hundred worked examples and is supported by several hundred further exercises for all levels. |

Kaldip Kaur a/p Sardara Singh

Although her degree is in Biotechnology, Ms Kaldip has always excelled in Mathematics. Her passion for Calculus and other Mathematical topics have brought her to realize that she would rather be sharing her qualities in Mathematics with students than any other alternative. She always looks towards the future and considers herself a "lecturer with practical and straight forward approach in delivering knowledge and information to guide the future leaders". Her ease and accessibility make her a perfect hold point for students of any levels when facing doubts about any part of the syllabus during the Foundation at President College.

All the above are full time lecturers at President College and constitute the lecturers team for core subjects of the Foundation in Science. Their knowledge, and their love to share that knowledge, will surely help guide all our students to their full potential, no matter what their starting level may be. None of our students feels left behind and all will receive any assistance that we can give through counseling sessions, tutorials and extra classes to boost students' knowledge.

Medical Ethics Lecturer How often will a Doctor be confronted with his conscience? What is right and what is wrong? Or should we say what is right, when? Those are important questions that future Doctors need to ask themselves even as they start their studies. They will have plenty of years and plenty of experiences before they can answer these questions - at least partly. Mr Logan will warmly challenge the young minds of the students at President College during his Medical Ethics classes and introduce them to a new world of thinking and questions that are related to both psychological and social constrains. |

IT Research techniques and Ad Mathematics All students at a certain level will have to do research. Not as Researchers do maybe, but to prepare Viva Presentations, Assignments. It may sound an easy task but how to improve their capacity to find the exact and deep knowledge while avoiding the ever-present risk of plagiarism? Mr Mat's classes on research techniques aim to show students that "there is something beyond your wikipedia search. And copy-paste is not an acceptable alternative". Mr Mat will also guest lecture on pure mathematics topics, hoping to share with President College students the 'where did it come from', 'what are the consequences' and 'how do I remember all this' of certain advanced Mathematics topics. |
